The Healthy Advantage to Social Media!

This however, was not the case many years ago and if you wanted information before social media was a thing than you would have to Google, read a book, or attend a class. Now for example, if you want to cut down your sugar and salt intake you can easily go on Pinterest, create a board and pin some amazingly delicious recipes to achieve your goals. I personally use Pinterest at some point everyday for new workouts to change things up or concentrate on parts of my body I would like to tone, recipes, detox beverages, motivational quotes, and anything I can think of to help me with my day-to-day healthy lifestyle including beauty regimens, and of course fashion.
I would like to stress that motivation is important to stay engaged in maintaining a healthy lifestyle and Instagram has so many opportunities to find people to follow who are on a similar journey to be healthy and lose weight and they are easy to find when you search. You can even join groups or a coach to workout with and stay accountable if that is something you need because having another person or a group to help you with your journey and to share struggles and success is really a special experience.

Most people know that I live and breathe health education and was excited when I discovered YouTube through my college experience when I started my nursing! YouTube has so many lectures, educational videos, workout videos, amazing Ted Talks and so much more that have enhanced my knowledge and understanding of how our body works and how to stay healthy. I will often listen to YouTube on long drives or whenever I need a resource. It is a great tool that I highly recommend, please just make sure you are looking at reputable sources and cross reference if you need too because not everything we see and read is factual.
Keep it social and keep it healthy!
