The Horror of Flab and Fat and How to Stop the Haunting!

I swear it is like clock-work that every year that goes by it is getting harder and harder to keep flab and fat from taking over my body.  It seems like as soon as I get my arms under control my stomach goes, and when I get my stomach under control my arms are flapping like a bird and I have literally had it with the flab and fat haunts that just come out of nowhere year after year after year.  I have never been a weight lifter nor will I ever be but I know if I want to enjoy my body for the rest of my life I have to find a happy medium.  Keep this in your mind because it is a fact most people ignore.  The more muscle you have, the less flab you have, and the more your body burns calories at rest which will in turn get rid of that flab and fat.  So now that we have this key information what do we do with it?  I don't always feel comfortable lifting weights at the gym because I don’t feel  I don’t like people looking at me, it’s my own issue and I can’t change it I just have to realistically work around it.  I do like however yoga, a select few weight machines, and utilizing my own body weight for squats, lunges, crunches, tricep dips etc.  I absolutely make it a point to hit all my major body parts but it takes some effort and it's a mental game for me but I know it's worth it and I'm vein so I do it.  Beauty is pain right?!?  Once you get a little routine going you will be all set, I promise you that and the results are addicting.

I find that my biggest success happens when I do my cardio and then I pick a muscle group and a couple of machines such as my inner and outer thighs and the leg press one day, yoga another day, and triceps, biceps and shoulders the next.  It takes literally 15 minutes when I do machines and I’m out of there feeling really good about myself.

Change in routine is tough so please keep me posted on how it goes and if you need any motivation along the way.  We all want to look in the mirror every know that we are giving our all to ourselves, our family, and the people around us.  If we feel good about ourselves then that radiates to everyone we come in contact with and that is a powerful thing!

Happy Lifting!
